F2 AI raises $5 million from Golub Capital in equity investment

Kinetics fund discloses Ripple equity stake worth about $246,000

Kinetics Internet Portfolio, a mutual fund with $248 million in assets under management, disclosed in an NPORT-P quarterly filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission that it directly holds Class A common shares of Ripple Labs rather than XRP tokens. The stake was valued at about $246,000 as of June 30 and represented roughly 0.1% of the fund’s net assets. Because Ripple remains a private company, the fund bought the pre-IPO shares through an over-the-counter platform available to qualified investors. The disclosure came as Ripple was carrying out a $750 million share buyback at a reported $50 billion valuation. Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse also recently said at the 2026 Wyoming Blockchain Symposium that the company now holds a more neutral view on going public, a shift from its earlier stance that had ruled out an IPO entirely. BYD says Wang Chuanfu did not directly invest in CXMT

BYD has responded to market attention around its connection to CXMT, saying founder Wang Chuanfu did not make a direct personal investment in the company. Li Yunfei, general manager of BYD Group’s brand and public relations department, said all BYD investments are made directly by BYD Co., Ltd. He added that the company does not manage third-party funds or the personal funds of its executives. On that basis, Wang did not directly invest in CXMT in his personal capacity. According to Li, BYD Co., Ltd. took part indirectly in CXMT’s Series A financing in December 2020 through an investment in Guangdong Yifang Changda Venture Capital Partnership (Limited Partnership). Coursera commits $100 million to Andrew Ng’s new AI education startup LearnVector

Coursera (NYSE: COUR) said it will make a $100 million strategic equity investment in LearnVector, a newly launched AI-native learning company founded by Coursera co-founder Andrew Ng. The deal gives Coursera roughly a one-third stake in LearnVector and implies a valuation of about $300 million for the company. Ng, who is serving as LearnVector’s CEO, is positioning the startup as an AI education company for white-collar workers. The company’s stated goal is to use agentic AI to build a personalized one-on-one learning model, moving away from the traditional one-to-many format. Analysis says Trump administration has amassed about $26.7 billion in corporate equity stakes

Odaily, citing Fortune, reported that the Trump administration has accumulated roughly $26.7 billion in investments through 30 equity or quasi-equity transactions involving companies including Intel, MP Materials, and U.S. Steel. The report said those holdings are spread across multiple government agencies and are not subject to a unified public portfolio disclosure system. It also said there is no centralized oversight or regular reporting framework comparable to the Troubled Asset Relief Program, or TARP, used during the 2008 financial crisis. At least four departments are involved: the Department of Commerce with 17 transactions, the Department of Defense with 7, the U.S. International Development Finance Corporation, or DFC, with 6, and the Department of Energy with 2. The largest single position is the Commerce Department’s 9.9% stake in Intel. White House National Economic Council Director Hassett said the equity investments are “like the down payment on America building a sovereign wealth fund,” a remark the report said points to possible expansion in direct government ownership of corporate equity.
